Tier 2 Volunteer Opportunities

Tier 2 Duties

  • Large dogs: same as small dogs (daily exercise/human interaction, enrichment, grooming, cleaning kennels, watching for disease, training, interacting with the Public, and getting them adopted) but also includes offsite dog walking and photos.
  • Adoptions: screening for proper animal placement, educating adopters on breeds, temperament, and health of adoptable animals, interacting with the public to assist with animal selection.
  • Events: loading/screening animals, transportation, set up, interacting with the public, walking dogs once there, assist with adoptions, bringing remaining animals and equipment back to shelter, and cleaning equipment for next use.
  • Public Interaction Specialist: Get animals out for potential adopters, answer calls, behavior assessments and clean kennels.
