Harvest Days is an annual event that is 74 years old. Over the years our City has come together to celebrate the harvest of friendship and community found “in the middle of everything”. We invite you to come and enjoy the festivities with your friends and family August 6th through the 11th, 2012.

This year, we are planning the best Harvest Days the valley has ever seen, including neighborhood block parties, games in the park, the annual 5k run/walk, our first children’s parade and of course – the best fireworks in Salt Lake County!

Do you live on the South side of the valley? Here's your chance to license in-person without coming down to our Salt Lake City location. Sandy city is hosting a licensing and vaccination clinic and we're going to be onsite for county residents to license. So if you live in Herriman, Sandy Islands, or any other unincorporated areas of the valley, come on down!

Bully Breed Free Fix Thursdays, August 16^th and August 23^rd

No More Homeless Pets in Utah is sending a veterinarian to our shelter and offering free sterilizations for bully breed dogs! These sterilizations are by appointment only, so please contact our Pit Crew Coordinator today to reserve your spot. This service is open to all bully breed dogs owned by residents of Unincorporated Salt Lake County, Herriman, Holladay, Midvale, and Salt Lake City for free. Residents of other areas can also take advantage of this program and have their bully breed dogs sterilized for only $20! Don't hesitate and miss this great opportunity.

Come on down to the shelter for a free public workshop to learn first aid for your pets. This class will be hosted by Dr. Katerhine Brown, DVM, who will go over how to do basic first aid for your pets. She will also discuss what you need to include in a first aid kit for your pets.

When preparing your family for emergencies, don't forget your furry kids!
